Q1. Where are you from?
Chicago, IL
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I had signed up for Michael Hyatt’s blogging course. During the course, I got introduced to Ray Edwards. I was so taken by copywriting, that I closed down the blog that I had been writing for over a year, and started to focus solely on copywriting.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Emails, VSL’s, blogs, sales pages for websites, long-form sales letters, short-form sales letters. Any kind of sales copy.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
While i’ve written in just about every kind of niche, I really am drawn to Self-help, dating, supplement and health (but you have to be careful in those last two, I know!)
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
It’s okay to fail, as long as you get back up and try again. The proof of your muster comes not from the writing, but from the willingness to go back and rewrite and rewrite. Also, I am mentored by Chris Haddad and Harlan Kilstein so the willingness to appreciate them (as they beat me up – just a little) has been key to go from good to great.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Chris Haddad – best emotional copywriter there is out there today.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
Chris Haddad hired me to work for him last July, selling his PIG course. And of course, I’m part of his mentorship program (I was one of his original 12 Haddadian Apostles from his original PIG launch.) I have gone through his course no less than 4 times and I have transformed as a writer as a result of the course, and Chris’ feedback.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
I am here to be of service. If the copy doesn’t convert or work, I will re-write it until it does. I am here to work for you and my good name depends on the success of your project.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
Copywriterandie@gmail.com
