Q1. Where are you from?

NYC Metro

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I was trying to sell commercial real estate loans to real estate investors via cold email. I realized the importance of the email message…and here we are today…

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Cold Email only

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

B2B – either a very unique product I can be passionate about, or working with someone that has a tested ‘offer’

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Redundancy. I write short form copy for cold email and often catch myself wanting to overexplain things. After going through the email copy with a fresh set of eyes, I try to cut off the ‘fat’.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Gary Halbert – “I wrote a sales letter that knocked on 600M doors.” (…maybe he said 300M?) I just loved the way he held himself, his attitude, and his philosophies. There’s a great 4-hour interview with him on YouTube that I watch at least 2x/year.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

– lemlister of the week award – I wrote a recruiting campaign that generated a 44% reply rate – Being the first US-based lemlist Official Partner – Generating leads of famous NFL players or other athletes that were interested in a clients service – Scaling our company to manage 5M+ cold email sends per month (managing 5,000+ domains)

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

I’m always hesitant to take on new clients before vetting their ‘offer’. If you have an amazing offer and a large b2b audience, I’m open to hearing about it and discussing if cold email could work for you.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

andrew@leadhype.com
