Q1. Where are you from?
Kilkenny, Ireland
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
My Dad passing a while back had a profound effect on me. I’d always dreamed about writing for a living in some form or another but had put it on the back burner. Losing my father taught me life is short and if you want to do something, you need to do it now. And so began my research…
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Web copy, squeeze & landing pages, sales emails & letters, social media ads.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
The wedding industry, specifically for wedding destination businesses. Think venues, officiants, dress makers, hairdressers & make up artists, photographers, etc.
I also work with sports-related businesses from time-to-time.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
If you want to learn and keep improving, you’ve got to surround yourself with good copywriters. There are no official copywriting “schools” and no courses at universities (at least to my knowledge). You can only develop by working with the best.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I’d have to say David Ogilvy. His life path until he got into this field was pretty similar to mine so it’s really inspiring to see what he achieved afterwards.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
Most recently, I successfully completed my first project with a multi-billion dollar business. That was pretty exciting.
The real win though is working with so many interesting people from different corners of the world. That’s what really makes this job fun. You get to hear so many fascinating stories and meet people you’d never have encountered otherwise.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Let’s jump on a call, so we can see if we’re a good fit for each other. Before beginning a project together, it’s important to find out whether we connect as it’s through that connection that we’ll be able to grow your brand.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
