Q1. Where are you from?
I currently live in Chicago, Illinois
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I’ve been doing it naturally all my life.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Articles, blogs, videos, infographics, slideshows, sales letters, quizzes…I do it all.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Independent professionals who want more visibility so that they will be recognized as experts.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
I can change lives with the words I write.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
It’s a toss up between Jon Benson and Todd Brown. They are both amazing. They take the letters of the alphabet, mix them up, and create magic.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
It was a while ago but this is my biggest win and the events that directed my path to my current situation:
Let me explain how and why I created Visibility 360:
“I was a successful serial entrepreneur.
I created and sold four companies.
I raised two incredible kids as a single mother.
I met and married my best friend and the love of my life.
Together we were building two more businesses.
I knew I was the luckiest person in the world.
And then……
a phone call from my doctor burst my bubble.
That call marked one of the worst days of my life.
I was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The medical team told me that I was dealing with an extremely aggressive and fast-moving form of Cancer. There was one option and I had to make a decision quickly.
I felt a lot like the bird in the V360 logo, trying to balance what I was hearing while looking at the only option available to me.
It was a battle that I fought with the support of my family and an incredible team of doctors.
After almost two years of aggressive treatment. against all odds, I was in remission and recovery mode. It was time for my comeback. I was able to get back to my life and with the help of my husband and my many media contacts I was able to recreate my business with a new direction…
With my unique marketing techniques, I could sell anything and everything. I had an email list of 78,000 enthusiastic buyers with a 65% open rate. And I built an incredibly successful and unique corporate events company with some of the largest companies in the world including 10 in the Fortune 100 and an additional 5 in the Fortune 500 List. It was fun, hard work, and financially rewarding.
And then…
…two planes flew into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Everything changed. Our enthusiastic buyers lost or changed jobs. Their business emails were no longer valid. We had to find a better way to reach our past clients and find new ones.
We had to build a strong, authentic brand and be a recognized expert in our niche.
Press releases got some attention but not enough. We needed more visibility. With persistence, creativity, and our secret sauce we developed strong connections with key movers and shakers in the media.
SUCCESS
In just three years’ time, we were filmed 29 times for television, featured in top publications, invited to speak at numerous events, and interviewed on radio, television, and podcasts.
Friends, acquaintances, and strangers constantly asked how we achieved celebrity in our niche. AND SO…VISIBILITY 360 WAS BORN
