Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
In school at an early age.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Emails, sales proposals, project plans, strategic plans, blogs, marketing copy, and now tinkering with AI and copywriting.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Career advise, Human Resources, Talent Acquistion/Recruiting.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
The number one lesson I have learned is to just start writing and don’t edit. Pour out all your thoughts and ideas and then you can edit, organize it, and publish it.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
John Grisham. I love the way he spins a story :-)
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
Once I authored an unsolicited proposal that got funded for a total of $12M. Another one was for a non-profit and I wrote a proposal to send 100 kids to a leadership development retreat hosted by Rotary and the RYLA program. The Superintendent approved it within a 20 minute call.
