Q1. Where are you from?

New York City

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

When I was about 24, I discovered brand-focused creative copywriting at my first job in digital marketing working as a junior copywriter/proofreader at Wunderman-Thompson when I was living in Buenos Aires, Argentina. But I think it was around 2019 when a super talented direct response copywriter and marketer, Mony Zarazua, pulled me into the world of direct response copywriting and marketing when she told me it would be a good idea to join Justin Goff and Stefan Georgi’s Facebook Group, Justin and Stefan Talk Copy. The moment I joined, I became obsessed with it… it was like stepping into a completely different world. Much more scientific. Psychology, sales, persuasion all mixed into 1. I became obsessed with the frameworks (AIDA, PAS…) I devoured every video I could get my hands on, connected with badass copywriters like Christopher Ogle, watched all of Justin and Stefan’s free Copy Accelerator Youtube trainings. As time went on, I started to work with clients and hone my craft, join masterminds, discover A-list direct response copywriters and marketers like you, Alen Sultanic, Ning Li, Pauline Longdon, Lisa Speal, Samantha Novak, Chris Haddad… the list is LONG

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

I’m open to all types. Long TSLs, VSLs, and short form email copy, advertorials, native… but my bread and butter is email copy, mainly in the biz opp, MMO, marketing, and real estate niches. This past year I’ve been tasked to write long-form organic content like ebooks, blogs, case studies, marketing newsletter.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Biz opp/MMO, personal development, info marketing, real estate, tech, marketing,

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

-Your best, hard-hitting copy comes from doing your RESEARCH. you can NEVER not do “enough” research lol
-I wish I wouldn’t have hoarded and drained a shit ton of money on regurgitated copywriting books, courses when I started out.
-Also, it’s critical you position yourself as a business owner as opposed to just an “order-taker”

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Great question Troy… You are damn good (not trying to brown nose), but I’d have to say Justin Goff. His copy flows well, and he’s one of the few copywriters I actually look forward to reading in my inbox.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

-Moved to Argentina on my own when I was 21 without knowing a soul and learned copywriting on my own
-In these past 12 months, I generated $75K in revenue for my real estate marketing client and signed 34 new agents every month all from email, and I was there first direct response copywriter. I came in without knowing anything about residential real estate or their marketing products…so I had a pretty steep learning curve but I made it happen.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

I would first do an audit/research their core pain points and determine their ideal scenario and customize the right solution that takes them from where they are now to where they want to be.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

bradleytanenbaum@gmail.com
