Q1. Where are you from?

Virginia, U.S.

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

Like many, the height of the pandemic was a time of reflection and transformation for me. I spent a lot of time dreaming of the life I wanted for myself and the impact that I wanted to have. In my previous career, I was the Director of Litigation for a nonprofit organization working on animal and environmental issues. But then, at the end of 2021, I found Alex Cattoni and my passion of copywriting grew from there! I was thrilled to find a creative outlet that would also make a huge difference for the organizations I and causes I cared deeply about.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

I write and consult with my clients on a variety of assets including emails, newsletters, social media, ads, blogs, websites, landing pages, bios, and branding guides.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

I specialize in writing for nonprofit organizations in the animal and environmental niches.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

If I have to pick one, it’d be to stay authentic. Since I came to copywriting from the very “buttoned-up” industry of law, I found the authenticity of effective marketing and copywriting to be vulnerable and refreshing. It’s been eye opening to see first-hand the response your audience can have when you’re open with them.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

From the start I’ve been inspired by Alex Cattoni because of they way she is disrupting the “bro-marketing” scene. Her energy, empathy, and authenticity inspire what I bring to each of my projects.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I’m incredibly proud of the transformation I’ve had in the past year. Today, I work as the Marketing Manager for an amazing plant-forward, diet change focused organization, and I continue to work with additional organizations in the movement under my brand, Pink Barn Creative. It’s a dream to have built a business that allows me the opportunity to empower and elevate missions that I care deeply about.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

My mission is to elevate the important voices of organizations seeking to shatter the status quo and have a lasting impact ā€“ just like yours.Through empathetic, persuasive copy, marketing, and advocacy services, I help nonprofit organizations in the animal and environmental niches achieve their missions by overcoming indifference and ignorance with far-reaching awareness and building a community of steadfast, loyal supporters.I take pride in my ability to elevate your organization and make your life easier at the same time. Whether you need consistent content creation or strategy ā€“ Iā€™m here for you and your team. You want to see systematic change, I want to help you get there.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

hello@pinkbarncreative.com
