Q1. Where are you from?

Lisbon, Portugal

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

It all started a few years ago when I was working as a VA for an architect and his start-up. As a fan of architecture and all things interiors, I had to put my velvet hat in the ring when the opportunity came up. See, I was slowly losing my will to stay in the country as a trailing expat spouse. I had tried everything under the sun and moon (including translating for a financial consulting firm ) to keep my beautiful and busy brain stimulated. Luckily for me, instead of organising my boss’s emails I miraculously ended up writing blog posts, editing pitches, editing/writing video scripts and optimising landing pages. When I discovered that all the above was copywriting, I dove head first down the rabbit hole in search of wordy riches.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

– Web copy – Launch strategy – Offer optimisation – Website and sales page audits – Sales copy: sales and landing pages, video scripts and emails Aaand I coach my clients to: ❤️ Transform their modesty/humility into unapologetic “loving my face off in public”-ness. So their people can see and FEEL the magic of their offer and being… and buy their thang! ❤️ Try different things NOW that might become profitable LATER ❤️ Market MORE in an ethical, fun and feel-good way that’s aligned with their current season of life

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Coaching and personal development (including physical health and wellness). As a born-again Coachian, I’m knicker-wetting excited to help as many humans experience the love and inner peace I now enjoy. I can do this with my skills and talents as the coach’s copywriter (and unofficial coach of coaches). Why? My life coach transformed my life. And not just mine. She’s helped: ❤️ Heal my relationships with family members ❤️ Enhanced my already wonderful marriage ❤️ Deepened my relationship with my daughter … without anybody else having to change who they are. If that’s not magic, I don’t know what is. But the greatest gift my life coach has given me is the magic of re-membering my self-worth and the electrifying power of unapologetic authenticity. I’ve also had countless other coaches and mentors who’ve helped me get to where I’m at in biz AND in life. Now I want anyone and everyone to access this kind of magic through the power of coaching.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Skills first. Relationships a close second. You need to hone your craft. Ignore anybody who says “you have everything you need” to write good copy that converts. Yes, good copy is better than terrible copy. But who wants GOOD when they can get GREAT for the same price (or less)? Can you improve your skills for free and on your own? Hundy! But having a solid foundation (through courses) and investing in the best mentor or copywriting community you can afford will do wonders for your copywriting and marketing skills. Re: relationships – without networking and authentic connection, you can forget having a thriving career… not just in copywriting but in any industry. Case in point: My second proper gig was writing sales and webcopy for an internationally bestselling author in the personal development space. They loved my website and they wanted a similar layout and style of writing to mine (“Show, don’t tell” at its finest). But it wouldn’t have happened were it not for my angel copywriter colleague who connected us.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

The weapon of mass seduction that’s Pauline Longdon. From the second I came across her site, I had a KNOWING I would be her mentee. Twas but a foetus copywriter without the funds or know-how (I didn’t even know what a funnel was at the time!). But in my mind, she was going to be my mentor, come hell or high water. A year later, and what do you know… she took me under her legendary wings and helped me do and see brilliant ME. It took a while for her confidence in me and my talents to sink in, but Pauline planted the seeds of possibility and magic… and here I am: doing what I love for humans I love. Her love and trust in me (and all her mentees) is rarer than a rare thing in the copywriting mentorship/coaching industry these days. I will always be grateful to Frau Longdon. (Ofc I could go on and on about her marketing nous and copywriting skills – but that’s a given for any copywriting mentor and A-lister. And I’d rather not bore you to tears.)

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

Tons. Some with monetary results and some still pending… The ones I’m most proud of are: ???? Connecting newbie copywriters to clients ???? Helping paying clients and non-paying friends improve their bottom line through small tweaks to their site, social media bios and sales pages ???? Instilling confidence in clients and colleagues to show up online as themselves and blow their fine-azz trumpets ???? A book launch (strategy and copy) for my Forbes-featured coaching clients… they’re now WSJ and Amazon bestsellers… and not because of me. Their book was fire and their audience was hot. But I’ll take this as a win as it was my first book launch project :) ???????? Showing up online as my crazy / lovely / weird / sometimes-offensive (to some) / hilarious / dorky self – despite it being scary AF at times to be unapologetically me #FuckCancelCulture

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

If you’re an impact-maker and wanna make more Monet, I’d love to get to know your yummy self. Let’s have a lil chat to see if we go together like kimchi and rice. Or (vegan) wurst and sauerkraut. Or Kaffee und Black Forest Cake. There’s an internal (physical) marker that lets me know if our collaboration is going to be a hit for the both of us. It’s not something I can control, nor can it be influenced by wads of cashola. But we’ll never know if we never connect! And if it’s not meant to be, I’ve got a Rolodex full of stellar copywriters who would be knicker-wetting excited to help you make more impact and Monet. ❤️

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
