Q1. Where are you from?

St. Louis, Missouri

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

It actually goes way back–10 years ago now–to when I was first writing my sci-fi fiction: crazy books about the end of the world, time-traveling dinosaur hunts, you know: “the ush.” I wanted to sell more books, which took me down the copywriting / direct response rabbit hole, and here I am!

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Blog CTAs that convert, Blog Presale Landers to Sales Pages / VSLs. Getting folks from content –> buyer.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Health, Wellness, Sports (Golf), Supplements, Fitness, Investing, or pretty much anything Product-Focused

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Focus on “one” thing at a time. Don’t try to do too many things with a single piece of copy.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

I’ve learned so much from so many, but Matt Cook is the OG who helped me develop the system that turns blog readers into buyers, so he gets my vote.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

Just grew revenue on a new Shopify site by 33% month-over-month by adapting my system to blog articles there!

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

If you run a blog that gets a lot of traffic but doesn’t make much money, I can help you with the “making money” part. From monetizing articles to creating a full back-end email “system,” you’re probably closer to five-figures per month than you know… and I can get you there for no money out of pocket. Email me (dj@orionscomet.com) to find out how…

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

dj@orionscomet.com
