Q1. Where are you from?
Brisbane, Australia
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I discovered copywriting through my training, certification and passion in studying human behaviour, NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) and persuasion and influence
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Email copy and Sales Letters
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Health/fitness, ecom, coaching/consulting, financial and Online Opportunity market
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Copywriting is the language of sales, more specifically the “language of Emotion” – emotions are what make people buy things. The emotional part of the brain is triggered by the unwritten subtext. The subtext is inferred, NOT spoken. Put another way, it’s not what you say, it’s what you communicate, the meaning behind it. The language of Copywriting is found in the “subtext”, not the actual text. If you’re words are conversational, but don’t communicate important, specific subtext, then you are speaking english, NOT Copywriting.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Andre Chaperone for his emotional storytelling ability, and Justin Goff for his conversational style and human element to his copy.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I am quite new working with clients as a copywriter, and have already had some wins, increasing conversions and revenue with some coaching businesses, and an Online marketing agency
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Instead of just writing copy, I’m actually providing 3 services in 1: 1. Writing & sending an email each day. 2. Deliverability (making sure the email doesn’t go to spam or the Promo Tab) 3. Automation & Strategy (helps the client make money on autopilot)
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
emailcopychief@gmail.com
