Q1. Where are you from?

Newfoundland, Canada (but I live in America)

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

My dad managed a bookstore and I got to read the books. When I was 14 I read My Life in Advertising by Hopkins.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

short copy, hooks, email, webpages and webinar scripts

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Mainly STEM companies

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Most good copywriting came from the writer doing 90% of the thinking and feeling on behalf of the reader.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Sugarman. That guy could really write a headline that hits.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I don’t know exactly how many opened emails I’ve written but it’s at least 50 million, thanks to some clients with huge lists.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Your other writers expect curious prospects. I’m the one who makes those prospects curious.
