Q1. Where are you from?

Denver, CO

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I’ve been working in digital marketing for 9 years. I’ve had my hands in every aspect of it, from SEO to web design to paid ads, but I’ve always wanted to focus on email marketing. If you’re going to do email you better know how to write so about three years ago I went all in on email and started my copywriting journey!

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Email copy is my main focus but I also write blog posts, landing pages, and social media posts for my clients.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

I really love anything health related because I feel like I’m using my skills in copy to help people improve their lives. There are so many sub-niches in health and so much to learn that I never get bored with it and usually end up learn some things along the way that I can incorporate into my own life.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Write for the customer, not for yourself. It’s easy to get caught up in what you want to the customer to do versus knowing what is best for the customer and conveying that to them.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Derek Johanson, the creator of CopyHour, has had the largest impact on me. Not just because he is a great teacher, but because he’s honest in his copy. He’s able to apply the principles of copywriting without coming across as too direct or trying too hard. His tone is always conversational and I feel like he is speaking directly to me or the customer he’s selling to. Plus he’s got a great first name ????

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

My biggest win of 2022 was creating an email strategy that generated $127,666 per month for an international 8-figure wellness company.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

If you have a product or service that helps people or makes the world a better place, I’m always open to talking.
