Q1. Where are you from?
Pennsylvania, USA
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I discovered advertising from a young age seeing all the sugary cereal commercials with Saturday morning cartoons. I later found out someone had to write them all…
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Email, sales pages, blogs, case studies, websites
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
I.T. Services and SaaS
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Offer a briefing call instead of a client brief form. People who don’t like to write hire writers. Much more valuable material comes out of verbal conversations.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
There are so many! David Ogilvy was an absolute genius. He stated early many principles that good copy still uses today, such as speaking to only one person, using their voice, being direct and clear, having a unique selling point, etc.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
In addition to helping I.T. service providers with emails and case studies this year, I started a digital product store. As my own client, I’m thrilled to grow my experience into the e-commerce niche and offer results to others in the next year!
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
What are your goals? What would it mean for you to accomplish them? What would happen if you didn’t? Here are my recommendations…
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
