Q1. Where are you from?

Bayelsa, Nigeria

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

It was the year before the COVID year. Can’t exactly pinpoint one key moment but I’d found communities and people talking about old ads and writing words that sell. Decided to explore it all and here I am.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Currently mostly emails????. I love email list management????. Occasionally, sales letters, upsells/downsells

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

So far I’ve enjoyed E-commerce, Personal Development, Business, Coaching, SAAS.. and I’m exploring more spaces. That’s the beauty of copywriting, the skill transcends niches and you can fall in love with any niche and excel in it!

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

You nail the research or you fail woefully. And I’m not talking demographics but understanding human nature and behaviors. The psychographics and behavior-graphics.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

There’s more than one “who” to be honest, but here are 7 of my faves: Andy Mukolo (My Coach), John Carlton (Kickass Copywriting Secrets), Brian Kurtz (Overdeliver), Clayton Makepeace (Screaming Eagle), Joe Sugarman (Ad-Week Copywriting Handbook) , Chris Orzechowski and Rob Allen. It boils down to their ads, their emails and their books.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

Improving brand revenue for an ecommerce brand across 3 stores in different locations. One of the stores went from 16% ($3,197) to 33% ($14,611) in 90 days

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Only if we’re a good fit. I believe in doing what’s best for each individual client including letting you know if I’m not the best fit for you at the time.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

ayebanobenwari@learnwithsapphire.com
