Q1. Where are you from?
Puerto Rico
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
So, when I was 17, I kinda got sucked into this “make money online” rabbit hole, because there was no way i was going to get a “normal” job. First, I tried drop-shipping, but that was a total flop. Then I started running ads for some local clients in PR, which was cool, but the money wasn’t that great. Over the years, I tried a bunch of stuff to make more cash, but the one thing I always ended up doing was writing these sales letters.
Anyway, I managed to grow a membership business from nothing to $4K a month in like 2 months just by writing a Medium article, which was really just a long sales letter. And then this small PE group even wanted to buy my business.
So, I then decided I’d give B2B lead generation a go, but the thing is, I hated sales calls. And they were very time-consuming, so I came up with this idea to write a sales letter and make everyone read it before they could talk to me on the phone. And It totally worked! All the leads who read it were ready to close, and they weren’t just regular people – they were, like, big companies.
That’s when I realized copywriting was my thing, and I decided to focus on it for real.
