Q1. Where are you from?
Nigeria
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
“It was a dark and gloomy night, and the sky had the screeches of lost souls hovering… And I was broke ????.” That’s really what it is. There isn’t a special story on how I discovered Copywriting – although not having money is worse than gloomy nights. The truth is, I was a 21-year-old man, and I really needed to support myself. I looked at other options, Software Development, and physical businesses – all which had little unique things about them, and I knew they weren’t for me. Until I learned that I could write and make money. I always was the writer although it was a way to calm my mind. So when I heard of the opportunity, I took some courses and gave it a go. One thing led to another, and… Here I am.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Sales Letters, VSLs, and emails are my focus. But I’m a full-stack Copywriter.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Health, SaaS, Coaching
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
You never stop learning. Every morning presents beautiful opportunities to grow.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
My favourite living Copywriter is Joshua Boswell – my first coach. He doesn’t stress about grammar, nor does he over-intellectualize Copywriting. He brings it down to simple repeatable steps which have built him a substantial income!!
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
NDAs wouldn’t let me brag in full detail since it’s still uttered in hushed tones. But I feel grateful to be part of the wins I have been.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Unusual approaches are my thing. If you want something most Copywriters would shy away from, then you may like me.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
emelie@themadcopywriter.com
