Q1. Where are you from?

Lagos, Nigeria

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I stumbled on a youtube video of Alex Cattoni

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Email and facebook copy

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Skincare/beauty

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

That we’re all suckers for a good story. People will buy from you if you’re able to sell them a good story they can believe in.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Laura Belgray. Her emails are really fun and swift that I find myself reading them twice in a row.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

A while back I wrote an instagram copy for an award show and a lot of people really responded well to it. I had people curious about who wrote it, and that made me in the words of Beyonce to start “feeling myself, feeling myself” lol.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Come with an open mind ready to explore and try new things. Some clients can be rigid when it comes to how they think their brand should be marketed, and that can make it hard for you to help them. So I’d say be open to things and you’d be surprised at what could come out of it.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

eyoannuel@gmail.com
