Q1. Where are you from?

Denver, CO

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I discovered copywriting while working as a marketing manager for an e-commerce company. We had to develop different strategies and campaigns to attract new customers, and one of the strategies we used was copywriting. Communicating our message through creative yet effective persuasive writing was challenging and rewarding. I quickly understood the power that copywriting had in helping us reach our goals and decided to pursue it further. After a few months of research, practice, and more research- I took my first copywriting course online and had been working as a freelance copywriter ever since!

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

I enjoy writing in various niches, including health & wellness, travel, lifestyle, and technology. Understanding the audience is key to crafting effective copy that resonates with the readers. Therefore, I always take the time to do research before diving into any project so I can understand their needs and interests.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

The number one lesson I have learned as a copywriter is that it takes time to learn the craft and create effective content. It’s easy to think that you can throw together some words on a page, but it takes practice and perseverance to master the art of persuasive writing. A successful copywriter needs to understand the customer’s needs, the product or service being offered, and the brand behind it. By continuously learning, researching, and refining your skills- you can create content that is both persuasive and engaging.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

My favorite copywriter is Joe Sugarman. He was an extremely successful direct marketer who wrote persuasive, engaging copy that resonated with his audience. His ability to succinctly communicate the benefits of a product and inspire readers to take action was second to none. I strive to write content that has the same impact as Joe Sugarman’s work- inspiring and motivating people so they can make informed decisions about their purchases. The lessons I learned from studying his work have shaped my copywriting for the better and continue to help me grow in this field every day.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I recently finished a project for SEMRush, one of the world’s leading SEO and digital marketing tools. My team and I created a series of emails sent out to their existing customers, highlighting some of their latest features. The response was overwhelmingly positive and resulted in a spike in new sign-ups In addition, I co-founded Copywriting Warriors in 2019– an online school dedicated to teaching aspiring copywriters about the craft. We just launched our first online course last month, and it has been incredibly successful– we have hundreds of students enrolled from all over the world! It’s been really rewarding to see my hard work pay off and make such an impact on people’s lives am also really proud of my work with Netflix. Last year, I developed a comprehensive email marketing campaign that helped them increase their subscriber rate by 30%. It was a challenging but rewarding project, and it’s great to see its positive results on the company. Finally, I just launched a new copywriting service for entrepreneurs who want to create strong content that helps them grow their businesses. The response has been amazing, and I’m looking forward to helping even more people with their copywriting needs!
