Q1. Where are you from?
Tacloban City, Philippines
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
In 2018, I had recently quit my dream of pursuing medicine as a career and I was looking for a side-hustle to fill the void. Funny enough, I stumbled upon a reddit post that said “I taught my sister how write copy and now she’s making 300k per year”. After I finished reading the entire thread, I was completely hooked and decided to go all into copywriting.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Originally, I wrote all forms of copy that’s typically needed in a sales funnel (ie. landing pages, TSLs, short form VSLs, FTC Compliant Ads) But right now, I specialize in managing email lists for high ticket coaches, course creators, consultants and other expert based businesses.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
When I first started out, I wrote a lot of copy in the Health & Fitness Industry. Over the years, I made a shift and discovered that I truly love helping experts with awesome information products promote their offers to the masses
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
“Logic > Emotion.” I wanna thank Jerrod Harlan and Mike Abramov for teaching me to live and breathe this lesson. Essentially, what this means is that a brilliant idea explained in the wrong order will usually lose to a decent idea explained in the right order. In other words, your logical flow is more important that the emotion behind it.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
The Dark Lord himself, Alen Sultanic. From the Automatic Clients Model to the birth of the Podcast VSL… He has revolutionized the marketing game and is hands down the definition of a true marketing savant.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
For the past year, I’ve been low-key writing and beating controls for some of the biggest names in the info-marketing industry (leaders like Russell Brunson, Keala Kanae, Clients & Community). Last August, I helped a course creator generate over $200k in revenue in a single month. In November, I beat an existing control (astrology market) that was doing ~$200 CPA’s. Right out of the gate, my copy reduced their CPA’s to $100 and they are now able to scale their ad campaign and end the year with better profit margins.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
If you’re a coach, course creator, consultant, or info product entrepreneur and you’ve got capacity to fill more seats/bookings to your high ticket programs… Then I’d love to give you an extra hand at turning your subscribers into $1k – $15k clients… If that sounds good to you, Tap this link and let’s have some fun→ https://m.me/gerrickwayne
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
