Q1. Where are you from?
South Wales, UK
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
Derek Johanson’s Copy Hour & AWAI
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
After two years of writing B2B blog articles, news articles, and case studies – I am now studying and writing email copy and sales copy.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Health & Wellness, Personal Strength & Fitness, Sustainability for Businesses
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Mindset is everything -accepting criticism, learning from your mistakes and relentless practice are the watchwords.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I do not have a favorite. Big influencers are Gary Bencivenga, Joe Sugarman, Ian Stanley, and Derek Johanson ( for Copy Hour emails). All of them seem to be able to write with great rhythm and flow and meet the reader exactly where they are.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I am a relative beginner ( two years). My small wins are this month getting my retainers to almost $3,000 pm and this month I will invoice over $4,000 for the first time. Probably more meaningful is having clients email me thanking me for my writing and for being easy to work with.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
I am happy to undertake test pieces to mitigate the risk of working with a new freelancer. I have started several businesses in my life and love knowing how other businesses work inside out. Please tell me as much as possible about your customer/audience persona and your product or service and any direction for research and competitors. The better the brief the better for both of us.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
