Q1. Where are you from?
Hope, Idaho
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I wrote a book after hitchhiking across the United States that didn’t make me any money. So I went looking for other ways I could get paid to write.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Long form sales letters are my favorite to write. But I’ve been dipping into email list management recently and really enjoying it.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Health/wellness. Supplements. Anything to do with human optimization in the body or mind is what I like the most.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
You GOTTA be writing something for yourself daily. Especially when you have 3-5 different projects going on at the same time, you have to come back and center on your own writing and remind yourself why you love it. Otherwise it just starts to feel overwhelming and painful to write.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Me. I love the way I write. Isn’t that the fun part about this career? No one writes quite the same and I love my unique take on new angles. But I love Pauline Longdon and Mike Abramov.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I just had my 4th 5-figure month and got my highest paid in full ever of $8,000. So that was really fun.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Let’s talk and see if we’re a good fit. At the very least I can usually point a guest in the direction to get they help you need. So if you’re looking to hire a copywriter, I’ll do my best to help or direct you towards someone that is better equipped to help than me????
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
