Q1. Where are you from?

Manchester

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I wanted to be a journalist but it was impossible to even get an interview, so I used my brother in law’s step mother, a relatively famous author, to put in a good word at an agency she used to work at.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

I run a copywriting agency wordswordswords.co.uk but also take on writing briefs for everything from radio and video scripts to website copy and brand naming

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Radio, TV and Video scripts

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

The more you know and understand about the subject the better the copy

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Although he is now in the great agency in the sky (RIP) it has to be David Abbot

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I’ve just written and produced some radio ads for a private healthcare client which consist of someone’s body talking to them about getting checked out.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

I’ll keeping digging until I find a golden nugget of insight and then I’ll write the copy
