Q1. Where are you from?
Canada
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I found out about copywriting when I was a young lad –> I saw a Youtube video sales letter before I realized was a VSL was. It was compelling and flashy – it seemed like the person understood me and the promise they made was suuuuper strong. I started getting more and more interested in business as a whole after that, and super curious about what made copywriting so compelling.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I specialize in email copy (both cold and inbound). I’ve also run social ads, and created compelling sales letters.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
I’m a fan of SaaS, fun e-comm brands, coaches and consultants for inbound. I’ll write cold outbound copy for almost any niche.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Clarity > cleverness. You have to be clear about who you’re helping, what you’re offering them, and why they should care.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Kyle Milligan — he did a great job breaking down what makes copy compelling and how to weave good stories together.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I set 10 qualified appointments for a design agency using cold email (only 342 emails sent for an offer & copy test).
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Let’s have fun growing your business.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
