Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
An email sent to me that talked about copywriting and had an affiliate link to AWAI
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Primarily email, also blogs, landing pages, press releases, short-form copy in general
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
e-comm and pet nutrition, looking to gain traction writing for info publishers and supplement companies
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Don’t waste your time trying to sell your services to the wrong audience. When I started, I went to local networking meetings trying to promote my services. It didn’t work!
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I’d say Dan Kennedy, because he is so multi-faceted. He is more than just a copywriter. My goal is is to follow his example and be a professional speaker, highly paid consultant and media figure.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
A couple of nice wins! In the last year or so, I’ve written and published two books on Amazon. Also, I’m now the Lead Copywriter for Dogevity, a startup in which Kevin Harrington of Shark Tank fame, and the inventor of the informercial, is an investor and partner. I now know Kevin personally!
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
For one thing, I’d tell them I more than a copywriter. I’m a marketing and sales idea generator who is constantly coming up with ideas that can help them thrive. Also, that my goal is to not just provide killer copy but to put a smile on their face and make their life easier and less stressful.
