Q1. Where are you from?
State College, Pennsylvania
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I discovered copywriting when I was searching for a way to leave my 6-figure engineering job in the defense industry. I stumbled across an sales letter for a copywriting course and it was exactly what I had been looking for.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I’ve written complete end-to-end campaigns including ads and emails all the way through to sales letters and webinars for both front-end and back-end products.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
I started out writing in the financial niche due to my decades of experiences as an investor. For the past 3 years I’ve written primarily for the business opportunity niche but also enjoy the health and fitness niche.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Writing is perhaps the least important skill a top copywriter needs, behind research, idea generation and overall marketing strategy.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I don’t play favorites – I’ve learned from a wide range of copywriters in different niches.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I’ve generated over $100M for my clients, primarily across the financial and business opportunity niches. For the past 3 years, I’ve led one of the top copy teams in the business opportunity space, creating several multi-million-dollar webinars.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
My schedule is very full, but I’m always interested in talking to entrepreneurs and marketers and exploring ways we can work together, if it’s a good fit.
