Q1. Where are you from?
Scotland but living in South Africa
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I was fumbling around online in 2011 when I stumbled on copywriting. I wasn’t at all sure I could make it work, but not being one to duck a challenge, I decided to give it a go. The early days were “interesting” – like writing 30 plus articles on dog breeds at 1,400 words a pop for big rewards ($35 each!). Thankfully, I’ve come a long way since those heady days!
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Sales pages, complete sales funnels, websites, blogs
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Tech, IT, and AI
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
A few lessons actually – but I’d say perseverance, self-belief, and playing the long game (Rome wasn’t built in a day). These are all mindset hacks I pass on to students of my 6-Step Fast-track Copywriting Program.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Got to be Dan Kennedy, I just love referring back to his Ultimate Sales Letter – an oldie but a goodie!
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
Sure. Both of my courses are going well and I’m looking to “up the ante” so I can help even more budding Copywriters and Digital Marketers escape from jobs they hate and regain their financial freedom.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Let’s talk. We need to be a good match to collaborate successfully, so let’s start the conversation…
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
