Q1. Where are you from?

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I used to do some odd jobs, which included screenwriting.. and then said to myself: “Hey, I could do the same thing for those kind marketing people!”

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

I mainly write sales letters, direct response copy and landing pages.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

I would have to say that my favorite niches to write in would be the world of SaaS (Software as a Service) and technology. I mean, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good software solution that makes our lives easier? Whether it’s a new project management tool, or a CRM system, there’s just something about the way SaaS companies are changing the game that gets my circuits all fired up.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Nobody likes ‘boring’ copy.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Leo Burnett. He’s known for creating some of the world’s most iconic brands such as Marlboro and McDonalds. His written words made these brands household names.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I’ve just made my first $100k USD as a copywriter. Hooray! 95% of this accomplishment is negotiation, 5% is writing copy.
