Q1. Where are you from?
Georgia, USA
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
While in law school – I found online beauty boards as a stress reliever. This was back in the 90s so not as popular as now. I became an admin on one – paid with ????and ???? – and we added lifestyle pieces and had over 100K unique visitors a month and my passion was born.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Email. Blogs. Web copy. Direct mail. Video scripts. Social media posts. Pitch decks. White papers. I’ve done it all.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Law – because it’s easy for me. Beauty – first love. Business growth because I’ve run 2 multi-million dollar companies that I helped double in size. Female empowerment. Mindset and personal development because I have worked on my own so much
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
There’s a system – so study the greats.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
John Caples – his stuff makes sense and is inspiring.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I cleaned up an email list for a client and got their open rate from 3-5% to 40% with a 14.8% click thru rate.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
My goal is to create customers who are raving fans of you and buy everything you sell with my writing and business strategy. I’ve literally had clients stop services because they were too busy from my marketing (Obvs a system issue) and I’ve had multiple clients come back to me for more work and refer others.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
