Q1. Where are you from?

Boston, Ma

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

As an entrepreneur and business owner, I have been writing for newsletters, fundraisers, emails, marketing campaigns, and social media for years. However, my passion to be better at storytelling through visuals and written content drove me to focus on the art of copywriting. By improving my skills, I was able to communicate more effectively with my target audiences and inspire them to take action, whether it’s to buy a product, subscribe to a service, or support a cause. Collaborating with others and watching their business thrive because of the work I do is incredibly rewarding.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Email and social media copy are invaluable resources for businesses seeking to establish and maintain a strong connection with their clients and customers. Personally, I enjoy developing an approach and tone that is both engaging and persuasive, resonating with the intended audience and prompting them to take desired action. It is essential to maintain consistency in tone and language to cultivate brand trust. Therefore, I made it a point to gain experience in crafting messaging for blogs, websites, and content marketing copy; all aimed to create a coherent and uniform brand image.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

With years of work experience spanning various industries and locations around the globe, I possess a diverse skill set that makes me a valuable asset to clients seeking to broaden their knowledge and expertise across different fields. Currently, my focus lies in areas such as empowerment mentorship programs, non-profits, cryptocurrencies, and NFTs. I have a particular fondness for topics that stimulate intellectual curiosity and inspire a passion for self-education. However, I am also actively seeking clients in the areas of business and sales strategies tailored towards creative individuals, as well as subjects related to adventure travel, photography, cuisine, wildlife, and cultures.

My extensive experience in these areas enables me to provide valuable insights to my clients so that they can make informed decisions and achieve their objectives.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

As a visual artist who had to learn the art of copywriting, I have to quote Shirley Polykoff:

“Copy is a direct conversation with the consumer.”

These words by Shirley, a pioneer in the advertising industry, perfectly encapsulates the essence of what I strive to do with my art and written work. I am passionate about crafting a message that speaks directly to the reader or viewer, engaging them in a conversation and ultimately persuading them to take action. In other words, I am not just about selling a product or service, but about establishing a personal connection with the audience. By understanding their needs, desires, and pain points, and addressing them in a relatable and authentic way, I can create a powerful message that resonates with them. Shirley’s words serves as a reminder that the key to success lies in creating a direct and personal connection with the audience.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Tiffany Rolfe is an inspiration to me, as her work involves developing creative solutions that generate business growth and have a significant cultural impact across various channels and platforms. Her strategic approach to advertising and marketing has earned her a reputation as a thought leader in the industry, and I am continually impressed by her ability to create campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive results.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

As a novice copywriter seeking my first client, I am eager to apply the skills and knowledge I am currently acquiring under the tutelage of Troy Ericson. Prior to Troy’s training, I had the opportunity to write a crypto Art NFT newsletter, which achieved a 105% open rate and a 9% click rate. I am excited to continue honing my craft and apply the best practices and techniques I am learning to achieve better results for my future clients.
