Q1. Where are you from?
Cairo, Egypt
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
For me, it was a gradual process, and I actually started doing it before technically “discovering” it. In 2019, I held a full-time “Senior Content Specialist” job title that when I now look back on, was pretty much a hybrid of content and copywriting. I’d write email newsletters, social media posts, event descriptions, blog posts, press releases, brand guidelines, and other materials that required persuasion to compel readers to take action. – For around a 1.5 years, I was unknowingly executing copywriting tasks. I just hadn’t connected these tasks with the term “copywriting” yet. It wasn’t until later down the line, as awareness about copywriting increased in Egypt and more people holding the title, that I realized what I had been doing. That’s when I started taking courses and workshops to learn more about it. My enthusiasm for copywriting only grew, and the rest is history! Now, I’m a full-time freelance copywriter helping ambitious entrepreneurs grow their businesses through powerful words.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
-Website copy -Service pages -Sales pages -Landing pages -Email sequences -Bios -Product descriptions
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
-Digital marketing -Human resources & career development -Personal development
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
It’s not enough to just know your craft. Crafting compelling copy is about more than just writing the actual words; it’s important to tap into people’s emotions, values, and beliefs in order to create an effective message. It’s all about understanding what will get them clicking, sharing, and spending. Without an understanding of how to appeal to people on an emotional level, your copy won’t be as effective. This is a skill that takes practice, but it can pay off in spades if you invest your time into it.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Alex Cattoni – because she’s a master of the craft! Her blend of strategizing, being creative in storytelling, and being empathetic to the reader is unparalleled. She’s also equally gifted in teaching others how to do the same – I know because I took all her courses!
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
My most recent win of 2022 is that I quit the 9-5 world after 4 years of freelance copywriting & content writing being just a side hustle. I’m now a full-time digital nomad, working from anywhere in the world and loving every minute of it. It took hard work and dedication to get here but I couldn’t be happier!
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
I’m just as invested in your project’s success as you are. Helping business owners turn the core of their ideas into readable gold is something I invest my heart into. I promise to approach your project with enthusiasm and creativity, and with me on board, you won’t just have words – you’ll have smart words with impact. Let’s work together and make something amazing!
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
