Q1. Where are you from?

Karachi, Pakistan

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I was a content writer, and people around me were super pumped about copywriting. So I decided to give it a try and enrolled in Shahzad Khan’s course (who’s, by the way, the number one copywriter in Pakistan).

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Emails, Youtube ads, website copy, product descriptions, blogs and sales letters.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Ooh! Now that’s a hot question! I can write on anything which is not technical. Something like; Beauty, fashion, mindset coaching, digital marketing, skincare.

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Treat your target audience well. Take them as your best friend cause you wouldn’t want to lie to your bestie, and you’re always honest with them. You know your bestie’s pain points, and you know when to press that button, which makes them act emotionally! A lesson I hold close to my heart: treat your audience like your besties!

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Alex Cattoni – I mean, who doesn’t love her? Her super fun personality and how she teaches her students with dedication, I’m in awe of her! Shahzad Khan – He’s the Pakistan’s top-rated copywriter! He’s my mentor who’s taught me everything! Not only about writing copy but also about the kind of mindset I needed to become a copywriter. Ning Li – He’s the top gun copywriter! I have learned dozens of copywriting tips from him. Stefan Georgi – The man needs no reason! He’s the Goat! Daniel Throssell – He’s an amazing storyteller, and I love tapping into people’s emotions with my storytelling skills. So I wait for his emails like a dog does for its treat. Lol.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I’ve been a content writer since 2016 and ventured into copywriting in May 2022. I have some experience and fire to see my name among the list of top-notch copywriters.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Stay back, relax and let me cast the ‘magic-words-spell’ and help you boost sales and your conversion rates.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

sajalwaseem@gmail.com
