Q1. Where are you from?

Croatia (originally), living in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

Back in 2018, I was an ESL teacher at a university in China and found this Reddit post by a guy who was making $10k/ month as a direct response copywriter. (Shout out to r/ copywriting!) As you can imagine, that grabbed my interest. :) But I never actually studied or pursued it. Then COVID hit and I was stuck back home in Croatia with massive layoffs across the country and region. Things were not looking rosy! Realizing this shit isn’t going to stop anytime soon, and having little taste for working for an average Croatian salary of a whopping $1K… I started learning about copywriting in earnest. And by learning, I mean writing and charging for it.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Long-form sales letters, VSLs, video/reel ads, FB ads, advertorials and emails.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Health & Fitness, eCom, Spirituality / Mindset

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Copywriting is not really about writing. :)

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Stefan Georgi — that’s why I’m in his Genesis mentorship program. He’s a very modern mechanistic copywriter whose results speak for themselves, so there is so much to learn from him. Now, as a buyer I’m super impulsive, so I have to mention Chris Haddad and Alen Sultanic. Love their copy.

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

Recently I boosted conversions for a natural health supplement by 200%, which was nice. Currently I’m working on a landing page for an app by a widely popular fitness brand. Stoked to see how it performs.

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Slide into my email and let’s talk, human to human.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

sandra_sabic@yahoo.com
