Q1. Where are you from?

Iowa

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I went to school for English with a concentration in Creative Writing and landed a job as a copywriter with a national online marketing firm right after graduation!

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

I write on-page, SEO-driven website copy and blogs.

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Food, beauty, and pet care are my absolute faves!

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

Always provide your deliverables on time. You could be the world’s greatest writer and it won’t matter if you can’t keep your word. So always make sure to give yourself a buffer zone!

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

I’ve learned a lot from Sean Ferres and the copywriters of AWAI like Rebecca Matter. My favorite types of copywriters are ones that write compelling copy, whether short and pointed or long-form sales letters that keep you reading. Any copywriter who can keep a reader engaged is one I want to emulate!

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

I’ve recently been helping a branch of an international nonprofit get established online, and that’s always a great feeling. And I’m taking a course right now to provide even more value to future clients!

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

I currently have the space for 3 new clients and would be delighted to get your website off the ground or create some great blogs to help you connect and build trust with your audience!

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

Mruwriting@gmail.com
