Q1. Where are you from?
Gurugram, India
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I didn’t really discover Copywriting. Copywriting discovered me I guess when I was barely a kid of 5-6 years old. Yes, I vividly remember as a kid I was always fascinated with storytelling and ad jingles and would somehow always remember the lyrics in its absolute rhythm like the back of my hand and would sing casually. From “Chale na Badlon ke peeche peeche of Limca to Aamchuri, Chappan Churi of Vaseline Summer Aloe Body lotion”, I remembered it all and made it a customary ritual of my sweet summer singing. While growing up, I was always this creative girl, doing and penning things uniquely. Gradually, I realised that people get actually paid to do this and during a college project in my masters, my creative instincts cracked open and I decided to dive right into it. Little did I know a crazy ride was in store for me.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I am decently good at writing blogs, and Opinion pieces, even better in social media copies but best in writing drama, long form copy, brand films, concepts, Short stories, scripts and poems. I really enjoy the process of creative ideation for Luxury, Lifestyle, Entertainment and infotainment brands. Love writing and creating thought-provoking , Value based content high on emotional, and humour quotient
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Lifestyle, Luxury, Human Psychology, Mysticism, Fantasy, Healthcare, Feminism, Parenting etc. are some of my go-to niches I will blindly and readily pick up, anytime, anyday
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
You can actually produce amazing copy that can bring you envy and laurels both in equal measure when you are genuinely excited about the brand or the subject you are writing on. You can never produce that enviable body of work unless or until your heart and soul is not invested in the process. This is also true you will not always get an opportunity to write for things you feel invested in, especially as a copywriter. Also, there is no other pursuit more human than writing. Your work of words has the power to change your world.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
It’s hard to name a one. There are many good copywriters out there tbh. Any writer whose work leaves me awestruck or envious or simply sways me away, I instantly like them. A copywriter who is effortlessly funny will always be fascinating for me as I believe good sense of humour even amongst copywriters is becoming quite rare.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
Oh yeah, one of the campaigns that I worked on for an iconic jewelry brand went Viral. The campaign was creatively led, Conceptualised and Ideated by me. I was also chosen as Next Gen Healthcare Leader 2022 by WPP London and was also recognised as ‘Gifted Creative mind’ in that training cohort I was the part of. I was associated with a UK based Independent Magazine which was listed in the Top 10 Philosophical Magazines in the world by a reputed website. Many of Short stories and Poems were published in that magazine. Another of my poetry books I got published in was a best seller in Amazon Ranking.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
I am unique, Authentic, and Versatile. So, if you want all of these, sprinkled with a fresh perspective for your brand personality too, then you know who to hit up!?. Even if I suck at something or don’t enjoy a particular niche, I will still somehow manage to pull it off.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
