Q1. Where are you from?

Wyoming, USA

Q2. How did you discover copywriting?

I always wanted to make a career in writing. So after graduating high school, I started working as a content writer for a local sports magazine… but then I realized it wasn’t paying me enough to call it a long-term career. That’s when I started searching for more ways to make a living as a writer… and landed on copywriting. I still remember the first piece of copy I ever read was AWAI’s “Can you write a letter like this one?” sales letter, which I stumbled on after googling copywriting… and it drove me nuts! I was like “Hell yeah I can do this! If there’s one thing that’s going to be my career… it’s going to be this!”

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?

Emails, Text Sales Letters, Video Sales Letters, Facebook and other short-form ads…

Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?

Finance and biz opp

Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?

You must constantly practice, even after being a “pro.” That means regularly going through your swipe file, talking to people, and knowing what’s working there.

Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?

Myself. And Sir Clayton Makepeace. I mean, we are all standing on the shoulder of giants, and there are so many names I could take. I learn from everyone I meet. But if I have to choose my favorite copywriter – it would definitely be me! And Sir Clayton Makepeace (I wish I could write as emotionally supercharged copy as him… without messing up the reading score).

Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?

A letter I wrote sold out Agora India’s high ticket trading course in less than 24 hours (So far it has done over 9 MILLION INR in sales – which is a big number considering the market is in India)! Also, one of my other letters for them, which I wrote to sell tickets to their virtual investment conference, beat their control and doubled their sales! Also, my email copy raked in $500k in cash in just 4 months for one of Banyan Hill’s products. More wins are coming! ????

Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?

Once you hire me, you can forget about your copywriter missing deadlines because *I don’t miss deadlines*. I have a strong work ethic and I write fast… which means I turn around stuff fast. Also, I like to work with people for the long term. Which means I’m not some freelancer looking for a one-off project to make some quick bucks… I actually like working with people for months and years… because it helps me get to know your business better… and as time goes on, I can contribute more and more big wins to your company.

Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?

copycrusher@gmail.com
