Q1. Where are you from?
Vancouver, Canada
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I used to get Corey Rudl’s Internet Marketing Center emails back in the day. But I think Kyle Milligan was the first copywriter who I followed properly and took notes.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I write VSLs, TSLs, ads, landing pages and emails. I like writing sales letters because I like to persuade and make a case. I love ads because coming up with hooks is one of my strongest skills.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Coaches and consultants, personal development, bizopp, but I love a challenge and will write anything that can sell.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
List > Offer > Copy. And even then with copy, subtext > text. And none of that matter if you can’t get their attention.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I think Gary Halbert’s conversational tone is one we can all aspire to.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I like to use copywriting skills in other areas of marketing too. I just helped a client recover $230k from their business, and should pass $1 million from this early next year. The commissions are great! :D
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Why do you do what you do? I need to know your why. What gets you up in the morning?
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
