Q1. Where are you from?
Las Vegas
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I met a friend and mentor who had just sold his direct response business and was essentially retired. After getting to know him a bit better he formally introduced me to copywriting and suggested that I give it a shot…
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Long form VSLs, sales letters, ads and emails.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Alt health/weight loss, golf
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
We live in an attention economy. So we need to keep attention and interest above all else.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Dan Kennedy – he influenced a lot of my early mentors so I learned a lot of his principles and often see them at work “in the wild” in other people’s marketing/copy. But more importantly, I just think his copy is so entertaining and easy to read that I truly enjoy reading it.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I recently relaunched a copywriting course with my business partner Jerrod Harlan and a mentor – Justin Goff… We think the launch will end up doing about $75k in revenue all from Justin’s list. But I’m honestly more excited to start working with our new (and existing) members in a couple of unannounced bonus calls we’ve got planned in 2023.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
At this point in my career, I’m only interested in working on projects that I find interesting, have potential to scale and have smart, ethical people behind them. If all those boxes are checked, let’s get on a call to see if it’s a good fit.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
