Q1. Where are you from?
I’m from South Bend, Indiana but currently live in Tampa, Florida.
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
In 2019, I was still determined to be professional baseball player. I’d worked my whole life toward it. As a college senior, I struggled with the yips that resulted from my elbow surgery. I couldn’t throw the ball accurately anymore, so I got cut. I’d lost my identity and felt like I had no purpose.
That’s when I discovered Facebook Ads thanks to my first mentor, Grant Cooper. I took his course and closed my first couple clients. One day, one of my clients told me that I was fired. But it didn’t make sense – the CPAs looked great. So I forced them to give me an answer. They told me their emails were going to spam. I told them I’d work for free until it was fixed – even though that wasn’t my responsibility.
That summer, I took their email revenue from $13k/mo to over $51k/mo – nearly a 4x. So I doubled down on email copywriting and deliverability – which became Email List Management – the thing that I am most known for. I own EmailListManagement.com.

Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I’m one of the best in the world at email marketing. That’s why my company is called Email Paramedic – we revive dead email lists.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Me & my team have gotten results in every industry out there, but I personally enjoy B2B and High-Ticket offers the most.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
Overdeliver! For example, if someone hires you to write an email, and you just write the email, the odds that it CRUSHES aren’t that high. But if you also provide some insight into how you can get more people onto the list or how you can upsell the people who buy into a bigger package, the client is wayyyyy more likely to succeed – and they might hire you to do the things you suggested. So it’s a win-win.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Stefan Georgi always told me, “If you were a stock, I’d invest in you.” And he didn’t say it in a cheesy way. I actually believed it. Since then, he’s been with me every step of the way. Heck, him & Laura even helped me find my wife, Julia! I wouldn’t be where I am without Stefan & Laura’s guidance. They’re my fav’s by far.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I have 3 favorite wins. I added $125k/mo in 60 days for an ecom supplement client. I helped a biz opp client scale from $400k/mo to $2MM/mo with a new offer & email automation. And I increased the average per-email revenue of an ecom book publisher by over $2,000.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
Copywriting is only part of the battle. You have to make sure your emails deliver into the primary inbox. You have to follow up with people who read your emails but don’t buy. And you constantly need to test new offers. If you’re not doing these things, you’re lighting your money on fire. Thankfully for you, these are all things I do for my clients every single day that get them exponential results compared to a copywriter.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
My best email is Troy@EmailParamedic.com. But you can also visit my sites EmailParamedic.com, EmailDeliverability.com, or MailGenius.com.
