Q1. Where are you from?
Provo, Utah
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
I always enjoyed writing but never wanted to be an author. In researching, I found out… holy crap, people make money writing stuff for other people? I started to learn everything I could and jump on every copywriting email list I could (newsflash there are a billion of them)
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
I love writing email copy, but I am also well-versed in web copy, and sales pages, and I dabble in blog writing.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Currently, I write for a lot of network marketing companies. It is a very unique niche that requires a lot of specialized knowledge.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
It’s never right the first time. If your client thinks it’s the best thing ever at first… they didn’t read it.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
Justin Goff. His use of storytelling sucks you in every time and even though he makes millions of dollars a year he stays down to earth and makes everything relatable.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I recently crafted the copy for the website, emails, and more for a brand-new network marketing company that ultimately sold $750,000 on its first weekend open.
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
It’s important that we chat before we sign a contract. Working together goes beyond just “writing copy” it should be a mutually beneficial relationship.
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
thebusinesscopywriter@gmail.com
