Q1. Where are you from?
Islamabad, Pakistan
Q2. How did you discover copywriting?
Writing has been gushing in my blood and bones since time immemorial. As a kid, I used to compose English Poetry and Short Stories (fictional & non-fictional). My mom and teachers always told me that I was super “creative” with words. I always loved Psychology, so copywriting seemed to be my most fave calling from the tender age of 16 (over a decade ago), when I stumbled upon the word “freelancing” on google via my mom’s phone (I had no laptop/pc at that time) – so I took the leap and it’s been an exciting journey so far. I still don’t believe in the notion of being an impeccable “expert” writer; as I believe in learning everything new everyday. SEO, Digital Marketing, Psychology & proficiency with English Language + reading multiple books and newspapers (and, writing in my diary) have bolstered my ability to be a prolific author, marketer, poetess, and a sales copywriter. My eyes magnify the world, but my pen executes the ideas.
Q3. What forms of copy do you write?
Emails, Product Descriptions for brands, Sales Letters, Website Copy, Social Media Copy, Ad Copy, Agency Sites, Personal Profiles, Taglines, Jingles, etc.
Q4. What are your favorite niches to write in?
Home & Outdoors, Beauty, Health, Restaurants & Food, eCommerce, Real Estate, Cute Products for Babies, Personal Statements/Biographies, Sports, Supplements, Kitchen Supplies, Pets, Charity Orgs,. etc.
Q5. What is the #1 lesson you've learned as a copywriter?
To write fast without distractions, and edit harshly afterwards. To read my stuff out loud. But the MOST CRUCIAL thing I learned is how to be a creative wordsmith and a diligent RESEARCHER who can dig up LITERALLY anything (think diamonds from coals) online & offline to meet the needs of the target audience, and to add that zesty, juicy flavor to otherwise monotonous pages of written content. Another thing that a copywriter must keep on their radar is to be EMPATHETIC, and have the mindset of giving VALUE to other people.
Q6. Who is your favorite copywriter & why?
I have learned gazillion things from novels, ads, newspapers, the Internet, and every person on the Earth who has literally PERSUADED me to take some decision (or to buy something). Everyone alive or dead inspires me. It would be unjust to mention some names and not others. I’m a student of words and life itself, every fellow beginner and expert copywriter has taught me a lot unconsciously.
Q7. Do you have any recent wins to share?
I just scaled a few well-reputed brands’ revenue upto 6-7 figs, with my marketing campaigns and of course, penned words! ???? However, I’ve some things in pipeline (including my book) and some copious amounts of to-do lists that I am going to blast soon, inshAllah (God willing).
Q8. What would you say to a prospective client who wants to hire you?
I’d tell them to take the plunge with me on this mega rollercoaster ride with me! If you’re looking for an ardent writer to sprinkle some pizzazz, plagiarism-free copy; then I’m your girl! However, if you’re willing to give me your own tips and tricks (every client has taught me so many things) – I am never reluctant to learn new things and to satisfy your hunger for sales. I try my best to create anti-dote to any poison jar in this world, and I make ordinary things extraordinary, thereby, making my clientele more moneybags! Everyone loves dollaz, right? You wouldn’t mind raking in MORE CASH, without me making a dent in your POCKET, right?!
Q9. What is a good email address for prospective clients to contact you?
